Testing God

"Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."
- Malachi 3:10

Recently our Bridge of Hope ministered food to those ravaged by floods in Eastern Africa. Killer floods have submerged entire villages - some 50,000 homes have been completely destroyed.

In God’s Word there are only a few times the Lord makes reference to the floodgates of heaven. In Genesis 7, God’s destruction of the world through a flood is one of the most well-known flood references.

By the time the rains stopped, it was not just the valleys that were underwater; the mountains were as well!

Once opened, the floodgates of heaven cannot be contained. There are few things on earth as powerful, as mighty and as unstoppable as a great flood—and no flood is as great as one that begins when the floodgates of heaven open up.

God will open the floodgates of heaven upon us and shower us with His miracles only if we open ourselves up to Him in faith and give back to the One who gave us everything.
